Sheryl Underwood was born in Arkansas, and was raised in the state. She was a television host for the daytime talkshow The Talk. Born in Arkansas she was raised within Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl has a turbulent family. Sheryl was raised by her sister Frankie. Frankie had suffered with Polio. When she was a child, she had an uneasy relationship to her maternal grandmother. Sheryl stated she was once told that her mother had stabbed the father of her child because she had been a little too closer to her. Sheryl joined military after graduating from college.
