Amy Smart is a former American actor and model. Amy Smart was raised in California, USA. She began modelling in Italy. Her acting career started in 1996 when she starred in the TV film Her Costly Affair. After that, she was a star as a supporting character in the film Starship Troopers she struggled very for a long time. This was not easy for Amy since she needed to move from modelling into performing. Models aren't considered great actors and so tend to be given smaller roles that aren't very important. But somehow Amy refused to give up and began to take on larger roles, beginning with the TV series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. In 2005, she took on the lead role in The romantic comedic film Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained recognition after more than 10 years of struggling. Amy went on to appear in major films including the Crank Series opposite Jason Statham, and Shameless.
