She made her acting debut by appearing in Imtiaz's Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor, in 2011. Mona Ghosh Shetty dubbed her voice due to her absence of Hindi fluency. Nargis Fakhri is an United States citizen born in Queens on the 20th of October, 1979. She is the daughter of Mohammed Fakhri & Marie Fakhri. There is a younger sister named Aliya Fakhri. Her father Mohammed Fakhri is a Pakistani and her mother Marie Fakhri is a Czech. In the year she turned seven years old the parents of her separated. Her father passed away just a couple of years later. Marie Fakhri was a policewoman during the time. Nargis is a Global Citizen due to her blend of Pakistani and Czech ethnicity as well having American citizenship. Fakhri was first introduced to the world of a model when she was of 16. When she was 16 and in Copenhagen together with her boyfriend, she received the email of Imtiaz seeking to arrange a meeting with him in Prague. The request was made for an Indian film. Nargis Fakhri began dating actor Uday Chopra in 2014. They split in the year 2017. In May 2018 the actress announced her love affair with american filmmaker and editor Matt Alonzo through her Instagram handle. The couple broke up in the year 2019. She is currently in a relationship with American Chef Justin Santos. Nargis ranked 72nd in Forbes India's list of indian stars in 2014.
