Jessica Chastain

JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain was born March 24 1977. She is an American actress, producer, and model. Her most famous work is her part in films that have female-centric themes. She has been awarded numerous awards which include an Academy Award, and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine named her one the 100 most influential people across the globe in 2012. Chastain began to develop an interest in acting as a child and made her performance debut in the year 1998, playing Shakespeare's Juliet. She studied acting at Juilliard School and was then signed to a contract for talent-holding with John Wells, a television producer. She was a recurring guest star in several television seriesand was also cast in roles in several stage productions. Chastain made her debut film in Jolene (2008) aged 31. She then went on to release six films in 2011 with the most notable being The Tree of Life (2011) and Take Shelter (2011). She was considered for Academy Award nominations as a part in The Help (2011), where she played an aspiring socialite. She also appeared in Zero Dark Thirty (2012) as an CIA analyst. The science fiction films Interstellar (2014), The Martian (2015) and It Chapter Two (2018) were commercially more successful. Chastain's strong-willed performances in dramas The Most Valuable Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016), Molly's Game (2017) and Scenes from a Marriage (2021) were further praised. After playing Tammy Faye Bakker, she received the Academy Award for Best Actress and Tammy Wynette in The Eyes of Tammy Faye (21) and Tammy Wynette from The Eyes of Tammy-Faye. Chastain is the creator of the production firm Freckle Films, which was founded to encourage the diversity of filmmaking, and is an investor in the soccer club Angel City FC. She is vocal about mental health issues as well as gender and racial equality. She is married to the fashion executive Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo who is her partner.
